The successful candidate will need to demonstrate extensive experience in the management and delivery of infrastructure and application deployment to support enterprise web applications (e.g. Fieldmaps/Survey123 mobile, Dial Before You Dig (BYDA), imports/exports of GIS to utility design tools, specification of virtual desktops etc).
The successful candidate will work as part of a highly motivated, supportive team so project delivery experience is preferred.
Role Overview:
The Mobility Spatial Technical Lead will be responsible for project delivery activities. In particular, the establishment of virtual infrastructure as directed by the Project Manager, and to support the ancillary products and services that interact with the Esri suite of cloud GIS products on an Azure platform. Examples include, but are not limited to, the coordination and implementation of Azure virtual desktops and subsequent performance comparisons to physical infrastructure. Deployment of Esri based Fieldmaps/Survey123 form based web applications to various departments of the business for mobile mapping activities (e.g. coordination with the organisation's packaging team and other technical teams), assessment and coordination of ancillary applications that interact with a cloud hosted GIS such as Dial Before You Dig (BYDA) and/or imports into Design software (e.g. Bentley, AutoCad etc). The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate senior level experience to cater for changes and refinement as the business requirements emerge and mature over the project lifecycle.
The role is supported by a project management team and subject matter experts from the business, so a collaborative approach will be employed to ensure the best outcome for the business.
The Mobility Spatial Technical Lead will report to the GIS Project Manager. The role will be expected to be flexible to the challenges of a dynamic environment, and direct time and attention to multiple work packages as the project builds momentum so that results can be shown as they progress.
The Mobility Spatial Technical Lead will be accountable for the assigned project delivery items that will be both technical and business-facing solutions, utilising the latest cloud capabilities.
Expected Deliverables:
- Development and delivery of the technical components that address the scope as directed by the Project Manager
- Development and delivery of the ancillary components that facilitate the project scope as directed by the Project Manager
- Ensure detailed system design compliance aligns with business' architectural goals and processes
- Ongoing delivery & execution during the phases of the project
- Ensure operational readiness of implemented solutions, environments and capabilities and handover to BAU operational teams.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Technical skills to implement and operate products and infrastructure that interacts with an Esri cloud hosted environment
- Problem Solving ability to identify and then solve technical problems within delegated scope items
- Stakeholder management ability engage and collaborate with the spatial teams and stakeholder teams as directed
- Significant practical technical experience within a project delivery environment
- Experience building and maintaining internal relationships to aid transition to support
- Ability to tailor the solution as requirements mature or emerge.
