With global operations, this role will support the Australian manufacturing operations and work with the Sales & Operations teams on effective delivery of existing contracts, as well as providing commercial and financial support throughout the tendering process for new contracts.
Job Description
Overseeing the Senior Accountant, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
Reviewing general journals
Managing project costing, job profitability reviews and revenue pipeline / order book management
Detailed first review of all outgoing bank payments.
Responsible for the review of weekly cash information including:
Cash balances report; Day by day cash flows for the next week; Weekly cash forecast for next 12 weeks; Cash flow forecast prepared on time and accurate to ensure self-sustaining cash management.
Managing balance sheet reconciliation process and state-based taxation requirements.
Responsible for the submission of month end financial reports with a high level of accuracy
Preparation of written reports and appendices that accompany month end financial reports.
Lead the business units' budget and reforecast process by collating information from key business development, operations, finance, procurement, and management and compiling the templates provided.
Project management of this process to enable adherence to set time frames.
Overarching quality control review of outputs of the budget and reforecast model at a P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow level.
Providing strategic assistance to General Manager and Leadership team.
Managing the inputs in the division's budget and reforecast information to the group.
Oversight of audit process for the business unit.
Evaluate, improve and implement process improvements within the finance function and wider business.
Support the construct and implementation of a new global ERP.
Carry out specific assignments as directed by the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this role, you will have a demonstrated track record in Management Accounting/Finance Business Partner/Finance Manager roles within the Manufacturing or FMCG industry. Previous experience leading small teams will be highly regarded, although candidates at the Senior Management Accountant level who want to step-up into their first leadership role and have relevant industry experience are also welcome to apply.
