job detailsWe are seeking a National Strategic Account Principal who is a skilled and motivated sales professional with a proven track record within the data center space. We are experts in designing and manufacturing Prefabricated engineered solutions for mission critical facilities. Working closely with key project stakeholders we design, engineer, build and install complex prefabricated structures into mission critical facilities.
This role will be building and nurturing client relationships while driving revenue growth. You will be working closely with Tier 1 and 2 Construction and Engineering partners across their data center projects. You will also be liaising with OEM Equipment suppliers, Engineering Teams, Construction Teams, Quantity Surveyors and Financial teams.
As a Senior Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our prefabricated generator enclosure solutions within the data center sector. Your primary focus will be to build strong relationships in the engineering, development & construction space & work across concept design through to tender submissions. This role is managing existing customers and potential new business where it fits the business model . You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure client needs are met effectively, and contribute to the strategic direction of our product offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including OEM Account managers, Design managers, Engineering Managers, Construction Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Finance teams.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market expansion.
- Solution Selling: Understand client needs and tailor our product offerings to provide customized solutions that address specific requirements.
- Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of engineering principals and competent knowledge across multiple disciplines- mechanical, electrical, structural & hydraulic
- Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and successfully close sales deals while ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
- Market Insights: Deep understanding of the data center industry - Development & Construction.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the pre-construction and estimating team to assist with bids.
About you:
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in B2B sales, preferably within the data center space
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, tender and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand technical product details and effectively convey them
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Team player who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients as this is a national role
