Field Based PositionMechanical Fitter For Surface Drill OperationsWest Core Drilling Pty Ltd is a privately owned independent surface drilling company, specialising in diamond coring activity.
The company provides its specialised services to the mining and exploration industry throughout WA.
The company requires a Mechanical Fitter to join our team to perform servicing and maintenance to our fleet of surface drill rigs and associated auxiliary equipment at our current drilling contract location throughout WA.

Scope of position: Actively perform day-to-day operational duties to provide maintenance, servicing and repairs to the companys fleet of drill rigs, vehicles and auxiliary equipment.Working closely with the maintenance manager to organise and priorities maintenance and repairs to drill rigs and associated equipment.Perform all mechanical services to a high professional standard to maintain quality assurance.Maintaining a strong focus on health and safety.The position is field Based 2&1, with the option of 2&2
Prerequisites for the position include:Experience as a Heavy-Duty fitter.Understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.Understanding of PLC systems.Experience working on Surface Diamond Drill Rigs or similar (an advantage).Possess good communication skills (oral and written).A strong focus on health and safety in the workplace.HR licence or willing to obtain one. The company will provide assistance in obtaining your HR-B licence.
Essential Criteria:Qualifications in Heavy Duty Fitter or equivalent.Able to pass a pre-employment medical.Able to pass a drug and alcohol screen.Current police clearance.Fully covid vaccinated.Valid WA drivers licence.
