About the role

The eCommerce Business Analyst is responsible for the continued growth of SAs core e-Commerce business, leading and coordinating revenue generating initiatives and explore adjacent areas of growth using data analytics and customer insights. The role sits in the centre of our eCommerce function, interfacing with Marketing, Product, Data, Design, and Customer Success teams. This role focuses on all aspects of product growth, using evidence-based, data driven decision making to scale customer & user conversion, activation, retention, and expansion.

Three key questions the eCommerce Business Analyst will address:
How can we increase product adoption when our customers first sign up and drive repeat usage? How can we create a product funnel that will encourage customers to renew online subscriptions without being contacted by a salesperson? How can we reduce churn when our customers become unengaged? What you'll do
Responsible for delivering the eCommerce reach and revenue targets of SA Store Responsible for eCommerce reputation growth, define and measure the impact of changes to existing and new features and how it impacts customer satisfaction (CSAT) and Voice of Customer (VOC) score Use site analytics and a data to plan and develop initiatives to improve engagement, maximise conversion, increase site traffic, achieve sales goals and eCommerce growth Daily and Week over week review of eCommerce analytics to ensure growth from previous period Use eCommerce and web analytics to understand and shape customer behavior within our funnel Analysis qualitative and quantitative research, Data analytics, product analysis and market insights to inform product requirements to drive growth Analyse trends in the market and customers, and demonstrate their impact Preparing reports to support key decisions presented at an executive pricing committee Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual forecast Design, create and prepare a suite of reports to support the different business requirements providing analytics, insights and recommendations to optimise business decisions Working collaboratively with partners to achieve business outcomes Strict adherence to our Data Sharing protocol About you
A minimum of 3 years of web analytics and data analysis experience. Knowledge of other digital channels and multi-channel analysis desirable Prior experience in a finance or data analysis, or eCommerce based analyst role University degree, or other relevant qualification, in a field such as business, commerce, accounting or data analysis Experienced working with raw data sets to develop insights (i.e. spreadsheet skills, Google analytics, Hot Jar, Heap analytics etc) with a preference for digital and SaaS Expertise in web analytics including Google Analytics + GA4, Salesforce, Heap Analytics, Hot Jar, segment, and other marketing automation platforms Proficiency in data visualisation tools: Power BI or Tableau Knowledge of / experience in website management and using content to maximise conversion throughout the marketing and sales conversion funnels Tertiary qualification in Commerce or Finance or business-related field Ability to communicate and work effectively with team members at all levels Working for us
