The role
Reporting to the Business Line Manager for Automation, the Business Development Manager Automation will be responsible for developing and maintaining the sustainable growth of Sandviks Automation business offerings in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea through Business Development and Technical Application activities.
As the Business Development Manager, you will become part of an innovative and collaborative team with expertise in supplying, implementing, and supporting cutting edge Sandvik Automine® technologies, designed to maximise both the safety and performance of Sandvik customers fleet operations.
This role is a full-time requirement, however Sandvik recognises the desire for flexible working options. Flexible employment arrangements include condensed working weeks, working from home, flexible start/finish times, etc.

Your profile
This role requires a self-motivated high achiever to deliver key strategic initiatives for Sandviks Automation offering growth. Applications are invited from a range of professional backgrounds including Business Development, Automation, Engineering or Software Developers.
Were looking for someone with a Tertiary Qualification in Business Administration, an Engineering discipline such as Mechatronics, or Sales, and a strong background from business development and key account interactions. You are experienced in strategic sales and pricing and a background in mining experience is a strong advantage.
To be a great fit for this position, you have excellent communications skills to be able to interact with all types of people from the end users of mining equipment, mine managers to corporate staff. You have a talent for identifying business opportunities and driving results.
