The VenuesLive management team, part of a national stadium management business is proud to put our people first in all our venues from Optus Stadium in Perth to Commbank Stadium and Accor Stadium in Sydney.We currently have an opportunity for a motivated and organised team player, to join our Catering Team in a permanent full time Sous Chef role.
Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will assist in delivering products and services through all premium food and beverage outlets within Optus Stadium with a focus on Suites and Open Corporate Reserves. This role will be offered on a Full Time Permanent basis.
You will assist in ensuring that VenuesLive is positioned as the leading sporting and entertainment venue and event management Company in Australia and remains at the forefront of industry developments with regard to worlds best practice.
While standard hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm, the nature of the event industry means that you will be required to work outside these hours particularly around events being staged at Optus Stadium and Stadium Park.
Your focus will be: Overseeing the production and service of food to Suites and OCR areas on Event and non-Event Day Responsible for continually improving the food offer and working with the Executive Chefs Team to monitor the quality of food Responsible for staff training and coaching for back of house service and delivery Working collaboratively with all internal stake holders and adhering to a Food Safety Management System.
To be successful, you will have: Trade qualification in commercial cookery. 6 years experience in 5-star hotel, upmarket high volume restaurant or large multi-outlet venues. Minimum 2 years as Sous Chef in 5-star hotel, high volume restaurant /or multi-outlet banquet facility. Experience in performing in a HACCP accredited environment. Excellent knowledge of traditional and modern cooking techniques as well as current Australian food trends. International experience (desirable) F&B administration skills
