Job summary
TMR is currently considering the implementation of a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy whereby it would be a condition of employment for TMR employees to be and remain fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status may be required as part of the interview process and/or prior to employment. The contact person for this vacancy can provide further information about the status of TMRs policy on COVID-19.In the role of Senior Government Agency Officer you will be required to consult and liaise with staff and customers, deliver quality customer service, manage and resolve conflict effectively and prepare and present official correspondence and reports. You will be required to supervise the Queensland Government Agency staff and the centre operations to ensure the delivery of high quality products and services that meet client needs. You will be able to use effective people performance management and workplace health and safety practices and demonstrate your ability to analyse complex issues and resolve problems.
Accountabilities include:
Lead and manage the operations of the Queensland Government Agency Program (QGAP), continually monitor performance standards and achievements of the centre and take action to ensure effective operations are maintained.
Contribute to the development of operational and financial plans for the centre.
Provide a quality service to customers and resolve specific customer issues in an efficient and appropriate manner, including the provision of quality administrative support to visiting judicial officers.
Provide expert advice and interpretation to staff on policy and procedures within a wide legislative and system framework, to ensure consistent standards of product and service delivery.
Prepare regular reports and recommendations on operational, administrative and quality standard matters for senior management.
Lead and manage staff using appropriate management techniques, including the training and development of staff, ensure optimum use of resources within a cohesive team environment, to successfully achieve excellence in customer service.
Promote and role model a team approach to leadership within the centre as well as within the Business Area management team.
Ensure office and system security measures are maintained.
Promote and ensure compliance with all relevant human resource management legislation, including equity, occupational health and safety requirements, awards and public sector directives.
Provide a safe and healthy workplace through managing resources to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety and employee rehabilitation legislation, codes of practice, standards and departmental policy and procedures.
