What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior RDO with the Kimberley Development Commission, you will lead the delivery of strategic projects to grow prosperity and wellbeing across the region. You will often be working in close cooperation with Aboriginal communities and organisations, businesses, and other government agencies.

Your day-to-day will involve economic and policy analyses on major challenges and opportunities facing the region, engaging with our community in a wide range of forums, and preparing submissions for funding or policy reform. You may be finalising a report on a major infrastructure proposal one day and sitting down with Aboriginal tourism operators to develop business strategies to improve visitor numbers in a remote national park the next.

The Kimberley Development Commission is a small agency with a big remit. We work hard, we support each other closely, and we spend a lot of time visiting and talking to the communities we serve.

Enough about us, lets talk about you.

You have a solid background in economics, business development, economics and/or public policy, with very strong verbal and written communication skills. You are a flexible generalist, able to get across a new issue or project quickly, and comfortable juggling multiple projects. You love data and are able to synthesize quantitative and narrative data into compelling persuasive work. You are committed to the Kimberley and our communities and can engage with diverse stakeholders including Aboriginal communities

The KDC delivers a diverse range of projects, communications, and activities to strengthen economic development and service delivery for all Kimberley people. If you have a strong desire to contribute to a small, energetic, and cohesive team with unparalleled scope to drive positive change for Kimberley people, wed encourage you to apply.
