job detailsJunior / Intermediate PKI Support Consultant
Seeking our next recruit to assist in the support and enhancement of a highly regulated cryptographic environment. The ideal candidate will have specialist skills in computer engineering, scripting (preferably programming), system administration, and system design to provide enablement to the business through automation and application integration.
The team is broken into four key streams including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Hardware Security Modules (HSM), Cryptographic API and Key Management for both on premise and cloud data protection. This role will sit in an established team of PKI professionals and will involve aspects including, but not limited to, development, documentation, build, configuration, and support.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support and maintenance of Venafi, Certificate Authority infrastructure
- Support and maintenance of internal and external Certificate Lifecycle management
- Deployment and support of HSM services as part of technology refresh program, which will include data centre visits outside business hours
- Perform health check monitoring on all cryptography components and servers to ensure consistent availability of system to end user
- Working with third parties to troubleshoot project and business as usual cryptography issues
What does your experience entail?
- 2 - 3 years of ICT industry experience in a technical role
- Ideally from an Infrastructure or Security background
- Experience with advanced Windows / UNIX administration
- Experience in incident analysis, troubleshooting and providing root cause analysis, is essential
- Understanding of some of the following technologies:
- Public Key Infrastructure
- Digital Certificate Management
- Secure key storage mechanisms, such as Hardware Security Module (HSM)
- Key Management
- Scripting and troubleshooting with some exposure DevOps and CI/CD practices
- Some background in Python, C#/.Net and/or Java programming
- Experience with REST/JSON
- Exposure to PCI Security Standards, cloud security services (AWS and Azure), Cryptographic and Key Management protocols, would be good to have
- Understanding of local users and permissions created across different OS and server platforms such as Windows/Unix/Linux/Solaris/AIX
