Key responsibilities will include: Monitor day to day development and production operational issues with particular focus on contractor activity across both the Southern and Northern Operations;Scope and develop mining contracts and monitor the work and compliance of contractors involved in all mining operations;Develop and review design concepts to ensure safe, achievable mining practices;Review and improve current processes to expand the mined resource;Take a leading role in risk assessment and safety management plan development;Plan and coordinate the design and management of capital projects and mining studies;Manage the PBH ESO and Emergency Response functions.
To be considered in this role based at our Southern Operations, you will be a strong leader and be operationally minded.
A Bachelor of Engineering (Mining, Mechanical, Civil or related discipline) or equivalent is essential to your success. Ideally, you will hold, or have the ability to obtain either a NSW Underground Mine Supervisors Practising Certificate or a NSW Mining Engineering Managers Practising Certificate, and a NSW Security Clearance. You will ideally have 5+ year's site-based operational experience along with supervisory experience.
