We are seeking an executive to join our directorate management team in the Organisational Services directorate within Australia's second-largest Council.About the role
We are looking for someone to join Organisational Services executive team who is highly driven working as a senior professional and experience in leading a high performing wider team in a large diverse organisation.
The Manager Revenue Services, currently reporting direct to the Director Organisational Services, will focus on providing pro-active leadership and management of Revenue Services in the execution and achievement of required strategic, operational, regulatory and budgetary objectives.
Your role will be to provide day-to-day leadership to a team of professionals responsible for the delivery of the functions for Rates, Revenue and Credit Management. This will be achieved through the development and implementation of financial strategies for financial sustainability, management and growth. The role also is responsible for the day to operational leadership of the revenue functions.
To be successful in this position
You have tertiary qualifications in Business (or related discipline such as Finance) and / or complimented with substantial experience in Rating and / or Financial Management in a Local Government environment, including knowledge of relevant and related legislation.
You will have extensive experience in leadership and people management with proven experience in coaching and motivating employees to achieve organisational objectives.
You will be motivated, have great communication and problem-solving skills, adaptable to change and have effective interpersonal skills. Your demonstrated leadership through building high performing teams will also give you an advantage.
You will have an excellent level of competency and knowledge of the functional areas with substantial hands-on experience in business and financial management.
You must be able to demonstrate your ability to collaborate and network with senior stakeholders and enjoy engaging with people. Good communications skills will be expected. This role will be well suited to someone who is passionate about contributing to the success of the Citys shared services.
