Network Implementation Engineer / HFC Engineer

An integral role working within the HFC upgrades team within a leading telco organisation in Australia. Working in Sydney or Melbourne. Primarily WFH with flexible work arrangements and night shift loading included in salary.

Our client is helping Australia transition to a future of digital transformation by building and operating a high-speed broadband network.

If you have previous experience as a HFC or Network Engineer this may be your next opportunity!

Daily responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Reporting to the Network Implementation Team manager.
- Successfully planning and deploying HFC capacity programs through utilising technical skills, best practices and processes.
- Coordinating the Node split and migration execution within tight time lines.
- Completing hardware and firmware upgrades to HFC Network Elements as per program schedules.

To succeed in this position you will :

- 2 years minimum working within telecommunications, preferably HFC operations.
- A strong background in DONS, CMTS upgrades, network implementation and data analytics for HFC. (Spectrum management and Optical Node Splitting)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of organisational and prioritising skills
- Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications, Electrical or Tertiary qualifications in telecommunications related disciplines or equivalent.
