Job Description
This 12-month contract position is a unique role within the Internet of Things and Operational Technology world. Your job will be to establish initiatives that will uplift the IoT capability of the business, with a focus on operational technology.
Essentially, the role is to establish business intelligence/analytics platforms that will be used to capture data. That data will be used to develop software which will assist in the operational running of treatment plants and equipment.
You'll also be responsible for:
- Capturing data streams within the organisation to create software that will better manage the plants and equipment.
- Identifying issues and using advanced analytics to provide solutions for better systems (including waste flow, billings, digital twin capabilities etc).
- Engaging with consultants, engineers and technical experts to help identify needs and prepare crucial information for the delivery of the project(s).
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this role, experience in operational technology, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and/or SCADA will be highly regarded.
Technical Business Analysts who have done Data and BI and Integration projects will be highly regarded as well.
Ideally, you'll also have:
- A detail-driven mindset, so you can collate information and prepare complex reports as required.
- Experience with SCADA databases (preferable, not essential).
- The ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience within the utilities sector such as water or electricity would also be advantageous (but not essential).

I've had the pleasure of working with multiple managers/divisions across this business, and it's always a great experience.

- A hybrid, ultra-flexible working environment (you can move between multiple offices as much or as little as you want).
- An outstanding team environment, with a great leadership group and friendly culture.
- Exposure to unique and challenging projects that most organisations simply cannot offer.
- A high-paying rate between $920 - $1,000/day + super
- Contractors are highly valued in this organisation, and are recognised as a critical partner to the business - it's truly refreshing!
