The role
The TAFE SA Procurement and Contracts management team is on a journey This re-energized team come from diverse industry backgrounds and display a genuine openness to fresh ideas and contemporary practices in procurement and contracts management. They are seeking a highly reliable individual with superior attention to detail, to provide high quality support to the Procurement and Contract Management function that ultimately delivers value to TAFE SA
This role is a unique opportunity to work on delivering key projects and driving TAFE SA forward in their strategic plan. Your new role will involve:
Responsible for the provision of procurement and/or contract administration/monitoring services for low value, low risk procurements, including monitoring performance against KPIs and reporting on performance issues in accordance with TAFE SA procurement policy and standards
Assists senior Procurement and Contracts team members in the conduct of procurements, including higher value, higher risk tender processes and contract management tasks
Contract management and/or administration, including monitoring and reporting for various across-government contracts in use by TAFE SA business units (e.g. stationery, temp staff etc)
Contribute to a high performance and professional work team culture and continuous improvement of process and service delivery within the scope of the role to improve outcomes for TAFE SA business unit customers
Assist and provide backup services to the Procurement Reporting Analyst in the management and maintenance of core systems and reporting when required

The procurement and contracts management team are varied in their experience and tenure at TAFE SA - you will work alongside recent joiners, and long-tenured staff, who come from a diverse industry background, such as state and local government, energy, Defence and manufacturing
You will work with varied and high value contracts, adding diversity to your knowledge base and existing contracts management skill set
What you will need to apply:
Ability to schedule and coordinate procurement projects and programs including the ability to develop acquisition plans, tender packages, specifications, and evaluation criteria within legislative and policy guidelines
Ability to influence stakeholders in the procurement process face-to-face, and indirectly, through verbal or written communication
Ability to anticipate potential problems and to redesign processes and systems so as to minimise their reoccurrence
Experience in undertaking research and analysing data such as spend patterns, financial accounts and/or supplier performance in a clear and concise manner to support decision making.
Experience in managing multiple priorities and making choices about time allocation whilst maintaining customer satisfaction.
Experience in the use of an enterprise resource planning system, and general computer software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook).
You will be a community minded individual, passionate about ensuring the delivery quality education for TAFE SA students
