About the role:Exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Graduate in a multidisciplinary building services engineering firm!
Due to continued business growth, JHA is in need of a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our diverse and dynamic company. You will thrive working as part of an experienced, professional motivated team. We are looking for someone with good analysis, communication skills, dedication and a strong enthusiasm to learn.
You will be reporting to the Group Leader and will be required to assist on challenging projects from their inception to completion and to foster and maintain a strong relationship with Clients.
Graduates will work under the mentorship of senior engineers. Your progression to running your own projects and moving to an intermediate/senior role will depend solely on your ability to learn and develop. We pride ourselves in tailoring specific development plans for each individual, and track their progress on the agreed development plan on a 2-3 month basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:Carrying out assigned Mechanical Engineering activities within the team from project start-up to project close-outEnsuring work is completed to a high standard, consistency of work quality and that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards, procedures and the basis of design.Managing assigned work to meet project needs and proactively working with other team members to ensure that project goals are metAttend client meetings/site inspections accompanied by senior engineersProviding assistance in the delivery of detailed designs of electrical servicesManagement and delivery of small projects under the guidance of senior engineersAd-hoc tasks as requested by group leaders
Skills and Experience:Degree qualified engineer (must be recognised by Engineers Australia) suited for recent graduatesBuilding services design experience valuableA team player with excellent communication skillsAbility to use and adapt to using different engineering softwareCapable of using Microsoft and ExcelAbility to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
