Who we areService Victoria is an Administrative Office within the Department of Premier & Cabinet charged with simplifying, improving and modernising essential government transactions and delivering customer service.
We are working hard to deliver a customer service system around what Victorians want and need, rather than what works for government. We know people want easier access to government transactions, including online options.
Customer feedback about our service has been overwhelmingly positive with satisfaction rated at around 96 percent.
We are a customer-centric organisation with functional expertise in customer experience, product development, public policy, agile delivery, information technology, service management and corporate governance.
We have a mature digital services platform of contemporary cloud-based infrastructure, technical architecture and scalable and reusable common capabilities, with real-time integration into agency legacy systems.
We will continue to progressively add new transactions and new functionality to existing capabilities, including digital licences, digital proof of identity, online accounts and payments, with a particular focus on our mobile app.

Service Victoria is now focused on building the future organisation and the appropriate IT organisation structure and capability that will allow the implemented solutions to be maintained, supported and expanded upon on an on-going basis. You will also have a chance to work on

About the role:
The Senior Forgerock Engineer provides senior technical leadership to the ForgeRock Team to design and implement IAM solutions for Service Victoria.
They complete the design, development and testing of ForgeRock components that deliver on the on Service Victoria's technology vision and capability with the goal of providing a reliable, stable, operationally sound platform that meets business requirements and industry best practices
They also contribute to product planning by providing authoritative and pragmatic advice balancing technical excellence, business objectives and quality requirements Key responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Position Title include: Provide senior technical leadership to the ForgeRock Team to design and implement IAM solutions Complete the design, development and testing of ForgeRock components that deliver on the on Service Victoria's technology vision and capability with the goal of providing a reliable, stable, operationally sound platform that meets business requirements and industry best practices Ensure the continual improvement of quality through a Quality Engineering and "Shift Left" attitude by proactively automating all facets of testing and determining key metrics before build. Assist in developing complex web applications using cutting edge cloud technology and provide technical support to project teams Contribute to product planning by providing authoritative and pragmatic advice balancing technical excellence, business objectives and quality requirements Collaborate with and manage key stakeholders to ensure solution and requirements are delivered Drives a culture of continual improvement and introspection and champions a desire to constantly improve within the team Participates in a 24/7 on-call roster for responding to incidents out of hours (our teams own the software they build and are responsible for supporting its operability) What we are looking for (Key Selection Criteria) Extensive hands-on enterprise level experience with ForgeRock Identity and Access Management Solutions Extensive knowledge of OAUTH, OIDC, LDAP and other related I&AM concepts. Extensive experience within the IAM space with a deep understanding of security design principles and best practices A passion for keeping up to date with development treads A keen attention to detail and passion for great user experiences Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Great communication, influencing and coaching skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences to effectively solve problems Desire to assist team members to reach their potential. A well-developed sense of empathy for your customers, both internal and external Desired qualifications / practical experience Extensive experience with ForgeRock Identitity and Access Management Extensive of experience in Security and Identity and Access Management Bachelor or equivalent in Software Engineer or Technology Experience in Jira, Confluence, Github and Microsoft office suite What we can offer

The role is currently based in our modern offices in Footscray on the city fringe close to public transport, with excellent bicycle facilities and will relocate to the purpose-built Ballarat GovHub Centre in early 2021.
