About the role and you:
ARRB is seeking a Mid to Senior level engineer with knowledge of sustainability principles, of sustainability management, of using recycled materials in road construction/ transport infrastructure and of waste management to join either our Melbourne or Brisbane based team. Our ideal Environmental Management Professional candidate will have:
Technical skills:
has 7+ years relevant environmental management experience with an excellent understanding of governmental sustainability polices and environmental regulations a Bachelors or higher qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Environmental Law or related areas a passion for developing and contributing to projects related to sustainable and recycled materials, waste management and environment management exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to simplify communication for complex problems expertise in environmental legislation reviews experience of dealing with environmental protection agencies a strong understanding of the WH&S requirements and environmental risks associated with the use of recycled materials. experience in environmental laboratory work/environmental science, and contamination testing requirements climate change risk assessment experience, particularly around infrastructure an understanding of the testing required for the environmental assessment for waste products environmental auditing experience capability to undertake contaminated land assessments and remediation an understanding of environmental impact assessment processes Project management and communications:
a strong track record of leading the delivery of projects to agreed scope, budget, quality and timetable requirements highly developed interpersonal skills that allow constructive conversations with a range of public and private sector stakeholders, clients, partners, and colleagues. a growing track record of writing compelling, successful proposals and business cases and maintaining ongoing relationships with those customers demonstrable skills in leading the preparation of bids, proposals and be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships a responsibility for decision making on delivery of projects to agreed output, budget, quality, rigor and timetable requirements a proactive approach in identifying new clients/areas of interest, developing proposals and/or unsolicited bids and winning jobs successfully a proactive and flexible in dealing with various clients e.g. government bodies and recycling industry bodies highly developed collaboration skills, demonstrated experience in working with experts/professionals from multiple business/disciplinary areas skills or qualifications we havent mentioned but which has helped you be successful to date What we offer:
