Who we are
This north-eastern based aquatic centre is one of Adelaides premier outdoor aquatic centres. Located in the City of Tea Tree Gully, Waterworld Aquatic Centre is a leading outdoor aquatic facility boasting three heated pools including a 50m lap pool, 20m Learner pool and Toddler pool, amazing grassed areas, large water slides and splash park features.
The role
Randstad is now recruiting for multiple positions for entry level and experienced swimming instructors for the pool season commencing October 2022 until April 2023. Waterworld runs a Learn to Swim program which offers swimming lessons 7 days a week for children as young as 6 months old through to adults.
As a Swimming Instructor, you will be teaching people of all ages to learn the vital life skill of swimming. You will be energetic and enjoy working with children.
- Teaching swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety to students
- Enhance the swimming abilities of more experienced swimmers
- Evaluate the performance of each swimmer and provide feedback
- Facilitate the progress of students and adjust teaching programs to foster growth
- Open to new ideas and understanding of Waterworlds lesson plans and teaching method
- Monitoring students to prevent accidents and injuries
Qualifications
Swimming Instructors are required to possess all the following certificates or be willing to obtain the following:
- Industry qualifications AUSTSWIM, ASCTA or equivalent
- Provide CPR
- Working with children check
- Child Safe Environments Certificate (Responding to Abuse and Neglect)
