The Role
As a Premium Wine Sales Executive, reporting into the National Sales Manager, the key focus for this role will be to launch one of the country's finest import portfolios in Sydney, starting with a small existing customer base, within Sydney metro regions. From there, you will target new business opportunities within the high end restaurants, wine bars and venues.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Territory management of Sydney CBD and surrounding suburbs, as well as developing some regional businessManaging accounts and liaising directly with wine buyers in the best interest of the venues/stores, reflecting Vinifys customer-first value setProcessing sales orders from iPad/laptop and sending these directly to the warehouse/sAttending and contributing to weekly sales meetings in either a physical or virtual contextDeveloping budgets and forecasts jointly with Vinify Wine Co's National Sales ManagerEmbracing Vinify Wine Cos values and way of working as prescribed during the induction periodWorking with purchasing department in order to ensure stock levels are in line with sales expectationsSkills & Experience
Knowledge of premium wine in a B2B sales environment is critical for success in this role. Vinify deals with the top percentage of the market and currently 90% of their portfolio is imported, so knowledge of different wine regions such as: Champagne, Burgundy, Jura, Chianti, Mosel is important.
Being a hybrid role of Account Management and New Business Development, you will need to have some existing relationships with fine wine retailers and Sommeliers whilst being self motivated.
A pivotal role for growth on the East Coast, there will be opportunities with a clear path of internal promotion and up-skilling.
