We are once again happy to be working with one of the state's key local authorities to resource a Senior Landscape Architect for a contract opportunity in their infrastructure team.
About the role
The Senior Landscape Architect provides technical landscape architecture and urban design advice. It is also a key role influencing and contributing to outcomes for landscape architecture and urban design with other stakeholders including the State and Australian Governments. The role provides professional advice and input into the research, design, development, implementation and monitoring of a range of landscape architecture and urban design projects and proposals that contribute to achieving the clients Strategic Plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing input and leadership, including the design, documentation and delivery of high-quality landscape architecture and urban design projects and proposals related to movement and mobility, landscape/urban design, asset renewal and city transformational proposals and projects.
- The day-to-day management of projects, liaison with internal and external stakeholders, presentations, and other project activities as required
- Provide specialist landscape architecture and urban design advice to the development of major projects as required
Skill and experience
- An accredited university degree in landscape architecture
- Eligible for membership and registration with the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA)
- Experience in providing project and design direction to project team members.
- Ability to provide both lead and supporting roles in the delivery of high quality public domain projects, including the management of consultants to achieve creative design solutions within time, cost and quality assurance objectives.
- Experience in managing budgets and administering finances effectively.
- Extensive relevant experience in design of public domain projects at a range of scales
- High level of proficiency using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite software.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including effective leadership and ability to set strategic direction for large and complex design projects.
