At Queensland Lutheran Early Childhood Services (QLECS) we are passionate about providing quality education and care within a Christian environment to children attending our Services throughout Queensland.St Paul's Child Care Centre located in Mount Isa offers quality early childhood education and care for ages 0-5 years. We are looking for a Service Leader and a Diploma qualified Educator.
The Roles:-
Service Leader
This role will oversee all areas of the Services operations and ensure the Service is compliant with all relevant legislation. The Service Leader is the main facilitator for building strong relationships and connections between families, the community and the Service.
The Service Leader will be required to take on the role of Nominated Supervisor and is the leader of a team of professionals working within the Service.
Selection CriteriaBachelor of Early Childhood or Diploma of Children Services.Previous experience in a leadership and management role within the early childhood sector.Current First Aid Qualifications including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis.Current child protection training Excellent knowledge of current Child Care Legislation and the National Quality Laws and Regulations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to positively, proactively and regularly engage with staff, children and families.Demonstrated skills to develop a positive work culture and successful teams.Demonstrated financial management and budgeting skills.Sound computer skills.Commitment to the Christian ethos of the Lutheran Church.
Educator
We are looking for a Diploma qualified Educator to join our team also.
Responsibilitiesassisting in the provision of a high quality, inclusive, educational program;ensuring learning and development is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards;facilitating activities and programs, indoors and outdoors;writing observations and analysing children's progression and development;providing all children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment;developing strong relationships with children and effectively communicating with parents and carers;working with all team members to ensure the best outcomes for children and families;supporting the Christian ethos of the Service
Selection CriteriaDiploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or be studying towardsPrevious experience in early childhood.Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.Current Blue CardCurrent First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificateExcellent written and verbal communication skills.A professional and enthusiastic attitude.Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with families, children and colleagues.
