Job summary
Due to business growth, I-MED Radiology Network is pleased to be offering a new opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the busy team in Port Macquarie. Clinic hours are Monday to Friday with participation in an on-call weekend rotation service. Reporting to the Chief Technologist and working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team you will provide high quality, Intervention Radiology and recovery services to the clinic. Port Macquarie is a gorgeous coastal town on the Mid North Coast of NSW, approx 3 hours north of Sydney, it is a holiday haven. With fantastic restaurants, stunning beaches and the rainforest all on its door step, along with the famous Koala Sanctuary. Key accountabilities include: Scrub/scout for complex diagnostic and radiology procedures, including monitoring sedated patients in our registered theatres. Assist the Radiologist for interventional procedures, including gaining informed consent and medical history assessment, monitoring baseline observations and recovering patients post procedure. Interventional Procedures Include: Insertion/Removal of Central Venous Access Devices, Angiograms +/- Embolisation, Biopsies, Lumbar Punctures, Drainages and Pain Management Injections. Working collaboratively with Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, technical and administrative staff and managers Key selection criteria: Full AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse Proven acute nursing experience Demonstrated ability to work effectively and autonomously within a multidisciplinary team Strong interpersonal and communication skills Well-developed time management and organisational skills Desirable but dot essential: Previous Experience in Radiology/Surgical/Procedural Nursing Anaesthetic Experience ALS If you're seeking your next challenge at I-MED and are passionate about delivery of excellence in medical imaging services to patients, referrers and the community, we encourage you to apply today.
