About Our ClientWith a number of exciting projects coming up in 2023, this community based organisation is seeking a strong HR professional with management experience to join a collaborative, vibrant and inclusive internal HR team.
This role reports directly to the HR Manager.
Job Description
Leadership of a mid sized team, with a focus on developing individuals, ER processes and projects including but not limited to the following:
- Liaise with the leadership team to identify and address workforce needs; and opportunities for individual growth and development.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation and internal HR policies are aligned at all times.
- Process improvement and identifying improvement plans for processes and systems.
- Plan and schedule events to coincide with significant dates such as Reconciliation Week, NAIDOC week and other occasions that present opportunities for team building and cultural awareness.
- Deliver employee inductions and on boarding processes.
The Successful Applicant
- Strong technical knowledge in IR and ER.
- Degree qualified in HR or related field.
- Experience in a highly unionised and complex organisations is desirable.
- Experience managing a small or large group of direct reports.
- Extensive knowledge around best practice ER and generalist activities.
