They have an extensive R & D department ensuring their team are constantly working with the latest available technologies to provide the most modern and thorough solutions.
Job Description
The Key Responsibilities of this role are:
- Interpret functional requirements into software design
- Provide continuity in solutions decisions
- Consult on design for the team, when required
- actively manage enhancements through Issue Manager
- Develop localisable and user-friendly software
- Develop efficient data processing algorithms
- Develop quality and maintainable code in C++
- Document implementation and deployment details
- Develop unit, integration and regression tests
- Assist in the QA process
- Resolve functional issues
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Ideally 3-5 years experience in commercial software development
- Experience in application development with emphasis on data processing and GUIs
- Exposure to 2D or 3D graphics programming is a huge bonus, as is OpenGL experience
- Experience in Visual C++, MFC and STL
- Good mathematical and statistical knowledge
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical data to non-technical stakeholders
- Thorough understanding and practical knowledge of OO software engineering principles
