The Company

Committed to delivering excellence in everything they do, and are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineer to join the Maintenance & Utilities Services team.
About the Role
To oversee and manage engineering operations in alignment with the Capacity Expansion Project at the site, ensuring a seamless transition into routine operations by the start of 2026. This pivotal role involves serving as the Project Engineer / Operational Readiness representative within the Maintenance and Utilities department, with a specific emphasis on providing engineering and maintenance services to facilitate project execution in the production areas, including Bulk Process and Fill/Finish.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Engineering Plant throughout the key stages of the project, including Design, Procurement, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Installation, Commissioning, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Qualification, and Handover.
- Provide expertise in equipment reliability and process engineering for the project, including tasks such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), developing maintenance plans, and assessing spare parts requirements.
- Ensure that all engineering activities related to Operational Readiness are completed promptly to facilitate a seamless transition through qualification, validation, production process qualification (PPQ) batches, and subsequent routine production.
- Investigate, devise, and implement solutions to engineering challenges associated with new manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Develop and enforce engineering standards and procedures while offering guidance on engineering-related issues.
- Collaborate with external vendors/consultants and internal colleagues in Engineering, Production, and Quality to accomplish the objectives of the project.
About You
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a process engineering role, preferably in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
- Prior involvement in Capital Projects or Pharmaceuticals manufacturing, particularly with cGxP systems, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Maintenance/Process Engineering, particularly with highly automated pharmaceutical equipment, is valued.
- Previous experience in Pharmaceutical Bulk Processing or Fill/Finish operations is beneficial.
- Exposure to Project Engineering or Operational Readiness is a plus.
- Familiarity with the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice [cGMP] in a Pharmaceutical setting is essential.
- Knowledge of SAP or a similar maintenance management system is preferred
