Job summary
Taree Aquatic Club is a popular local venue which overlooks the beautiful Manning River on the Mid North Coast of NSW. The club is about to embark on some exciting changes with moving the clubs catering operations in-house.The club has approximately 7,000 members and a busy restaurant trade. The club restaurant opens 7 days a week for lunch and dinner service. This is a solid, stable and busy catering operation so you will be hitting the ground running.
We are now looking for a Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef and help lead the kitchen brigade. You will be a person who is passionate about food, and prides themselves on delivering outstanding meals with exemplary service.
You will be a positive contributor to the menu design in collaboration with the Executive Chef and will be required to be immersed in an a la carte style menu with traditional club favourites. We are looking for someone that can add some creativity and flair to our menus and daily specials.
The following attributes and experience would be considered advantageous:Previous experience in a similar kitchen leadership role.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Bring fresh ideas for menu design.Passion for good food and creativityA knowledge of current food trendsA knowledge and commitment to implementing food safety, WHS and hygiene practices.Good communication skillsTrade qualified with experience and a keen attention to detail.Willingness to workdays, nights, weekends as requiredA customer service focus
