UGLs Utilities Operations and Maintenance team maintains and operates across the following assets: power generation, transmission lines, substations, electrical distribution networks, water and wastewater treatment plans and water pipelines.
A new position has arisen for an Operations Manager to be responsible and accountable for providing direction and support for all Utilities Programs and Projects across the Victoria line of business.
What will a day in this role look like: Establish and implement strategic directions agreed with the General Manager for development and growth for the Victorian Operations Drive safety, efficiency, profitability, consistency across all programs and projects. Provide input into the annual business plan and support Alliance, Program and Project Managers in developing appropriate (and cascaded) business plans for project level Coach & Mentor Alliance Managers, Program Managers & Project Managers to ensure Project Management fundamentals are met.
On Your First Day we expect you to bring to the team: 10+ Years in an Operations Management role within the Asset Management, Engineering or Construction Industry Trade, Engineering, Business or Project Management Qualification Business and commercial acumen backed by ability to create, read and interpret budget reports Demonstrated ability to enact change and implement significant business improvements in areas of HSE, culture, client relationships and profitability
