job detailsRandstad is seeking a Mechanical fitter to join the Brisbane City Council for an immediate start at their Toowong based depot. This is casual ongoing position with potential career development moving forward.
About your new role
...
You will work as part of a medium sized team in order to repair and maintain site equipment and machinery. A trade qualification is mandatory for this position. The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 3 years experience in the industry. The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm.
Your responsibilities may include
- Plan and undertake scheduled repair and maintenance of site machinery
- Respond to break down and emergency situations to repair to site equipment
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including foremen and machine operators around performance and diagnostics
- Record and rectify any defects found with machinery
- Complete worksheets, registers and dockets to assist in maintaining the integrity of workshop practices and documentation processes
- Fault finding, maintenance and rebuild of components and equipment
What you will need
- Australian trade certificate in Mechanical Fitting (Mandatory)
- Must be able to pass medical/drug and alcohol testing
- C Class drivers licence and reliable transport
