Job Description
- Implement and deliver campaign elements and manage all aspects of the ticketing/registration process including on-site ticketing, under direction from the Marketing Manager (MM)
- Ensure website and other digital channels are up-to-date at all times
- Work with the Traffic Manager to ensure collateral for both Visitor and Exhibitor promotions are delivered
- Brief and execute eDMs, SMS to promote the show and engage consumers
- Brief and execute trade press ads and digital elements on time and on brief
- Build calendar of events with relevant partners and manage execution
- Coordinate and track the marketing collateral including leaflets, posters, postcards, tickets and mail out as required
- Assist with sponsorship requirements and execution
- Research online lists, companies, organisations and any other areas to target specific messages to encourage visitors to attend
- Assist the MM to gather & manage topical information for pre-show PR opportunities
- Travel Interstate when required for client meetings, shows and marketing activity
- Attend weekly team meetings and any additional meetings as required
- Respond to visitor enquiries by phone and email
- Keep budget spread-sheet up to date with invoices under direction from MM
- Coordinate all required post-show activities, including post show report and updates to website
- Prepare onsite run sheet for marketing & social media team
- Assist the MM with the PR agency on PR launches that may arise
- Assist with onsite marketing communications - eDMs, SMS to stimulate visitor numbers
The Successful Applicant
- A relevant business/marketing qualification
- Experience in the exhibition/expos/events space
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Experience working on end-to-end campaigns
- High communication skills - written and verbal
- Good understanding of brands, and the role of strategy
- Outstanding Personal drive
- High attention to detail with strong capabilities in terms of prioritising work and meeting deadlines
- Must be able to work on multiple initiatives / projects
- Skills and knowledge of MS Office (Microsoft Publisher, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to report on individual campaign aspects on an ongoing basis
