Join their Economic and Pricing branch to make a significant impact on the disability support ecosystem.
About the Role:
As an APS6 Policy Analyst within the Pricing Policy unit, you will play a crucial role in shaping the policies that drive the disability support marketplace. You'll work on high-impact projects, such as the Annual Pricing Review, and contribute to the development of long-term pricing strategies. Your work will involve extensive stakeholder engagement, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and the formulation of recommendations that influence the sector's future.
Key Responsibilities:
Effective Communication: Demonstrate strong writing skills to articulate policy decisions, support data-driven reports and papers, and maintain open communication with the Assistant Director.
Data Collaboration: Collaborate with a dedicated data team to define data requirements, understand analysis outputs, and effectively communicate their significance in written and verbal formats.
Qualitative Research: Conduct qualitative research on the economic environment and stakeholder feedback to inform policy decisions.
Stakeholder Liaison: Foster productive relationships by liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaborative efforts lead to desired outcomes.
Analytical Excellence: Apply highly developed quantitative and analytical skills to synthesize complex information, supporting the development of effective pricing policies.
Soft Skills:
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to support report preparation, work progress updates, and issue resolution.
Analytical: Proficiency in quantitative analysis and the ability to coordinate complex information. Basic competency in Excel is required.
Work Standards: Maintain high work standards and accuracy while handling competing and urgent requests both independently and as part of a team.
Stakeholder Management: Effectively collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals.
Desirables:
Government Experience: Previous experience in writing for Government Agencies is a plus.
Data-Driven: Knowledge or experience in using quantitative and qualitative data to inform policy decisions.
