Your Opportunity:The GCSPA is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, independent and strategic thinking person capable of working with a high level of autonomy and accountability to the position of GCSPA Communications & Community Relations Officer to manage the Alliance. The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and sustain productive relationships within the Alliance and broader educational community . They will possess high level marketing and event management skills, including demonstrated experience with a range of graphic design and software applications.
The GCSPA Communications & Community Relations Officer directly reports to the President of the Alliance and is based at the President's school location,. Terms of Presidency within the Alliance is usually based on a 2-year cycle. When Presidency changes, the GCSPA Communications & Community Relations Officer will relocate to that President's school location.
The current location for this position is Varsity College, however the geographic range for the Alliance locations is between Ormeau Woods and Palm Beach Currumbin.
About the Role:
In the context of the role description your role in managing the GCSPA will include: Developing and maintaining of partnerships between GCSPA and government bodies, Gold Coast business and industry, tertiary education providers etc. that will advance the strategic agenda of the alliance and enhance student outcomes Lead a range of leadership programs and events across the GCSPA in collaboration with school-based teams and the GCSPA partners Develop and source professional development opportunities and events on behalf of the GCSPA Organisation of the GCSPA meeting agendas, including facilitating guest speakers and professional learning for monthly meetings.
About You: This position requires travel within the Gold Coast and Scenic Rim. The successful applicant will ideally hold a current driver's license and have their own vehicle, or alternative means to travel between locations.
When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.

Please outline your demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with key leadership teams across the sixteen Alliance schools to ensure the success of whole of Alliance initiatives and the promotion of the Alliance as a key priority.
