Business Partnering:

- Develop and maintain highly effective stakeholder relationships with portfolio people leaders, establishing a reputation for being a trusted advisor and business partner.
- Support management and employees in the interpretation and adherence to applicable industrial instruments, policies, procedures and processes, and best practice.
- Provide relevant HR data and analytics to executive and management to support and inform decision making.
- Coach and support managers in developing their leadership and management capabilities, including the development and delivery of people-management training.
- Role model and champion the organisations values and expected behaviors as well as promoting continuous improvement, diversity and inclusion.
- Drive the recruitment and selection process including workforce planning, job design attraction strategies, participating in interview processes where required, with an overall focus on candidate experience
- Oversee the onboarding process, supporting people leaders to transition new employees into the company and their new position as well as in effectively induct and orient new employees
- Ensure all compliance requirements are met during onboarding and maintained
- Manage the contracting process, including employment agreements, individual flexibility agreements, employment variations, employee leave, remuneration and other related employment terms and conditions
- Support & guide managers to conduct Probationary Period Planning & Review meetings
- Support and guide managers to undertake consistent and appropriate performance & development review processes to promote a high-performance culture
- Support and guide managers to undertake consistent and appropriate Performance Management processes to manage employee under performance
- Under the guidance of the Senior P&C Business Partner, undertake the effective case management of employee relations matters
- Manage the offboarding process, including exit survey and exit interview data analysis, identifying continuous improvement opportunities and developing retention strategies to reduce workforce turnover
- Participate in the review of existing people-related policies, procedures, practices and processes, ensuring alignment to legislative requirements and best practice.

Workcover:

- Ensure that the most effective return to work approaches are consistently applied including a dynamic approach to early intervention.
- Liaise with WorkSafe agents, health practitioners, rehabilitation providers, claimants and relevant departments to achieve timely return to work of ill or injured workers.
- Coach managers and supervisor to develop their knowledge and understanding of Workcover compensation and injury management obligations.
- Manage Workcover claims and ensure they are implemented in accordance with the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act and associated Regulations as well as Company policies and procedures.
- Record and maintain Workcover claims and report on these claims as requested

Projects:

Contribute to the development and implementation of National P&C related projects and programs as required. This may include configuration and roll out of our new HRIS as well as other people related engagement and development programs.

- The successful candidate will have experience within a similar outcome focused role/site-based environment, have outstanding relationship building, strong consulting, negotiation and facilitation skills and the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.

- Degree level qualification in Business Management & Human Resources - Experience in Business partnering role
