I am seeking a high-level analytical, critical thinker with outstanding organisational and communication skills.
Reporting to the Director - Quality and Safety, this role provides support to the Quality and Safety team in the areas of continuous improvement, program and procedure development, policy and accreditation processes.
Responsible for managing the teams priorities to support a high quality mental health service delivery, you will be required to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders together with regional operations and government departments relevant to the agency to achieve positive outcomes for clients and agency goals.
Key Responsibilities include:
- In conjunction with the Quality and Safety Director and Clinical Operations Director, manage strategic planning for longer-term initiatives, including maintaining mental health accreditation
- Develop and review advice, briefings, papers, submissions and correspondence for internal and external forums at a highly professional level
- Provide Secretariat support to the Quality and Safety Committee together with support in the delivery of specific information/training/education to staff about Continuous Quality Improvement
- Manage key projects within the team to ensure they are delivered in scope and liaise with stakeholders to ensure scope and objectives are undertaken collaboratively, including negotiating and responding to critical issues and report writing
To be considered, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of health or social services preferably within the Australian Public Service and/or the Australian Defence Force.
- Highly developed communication skills and writing expertise for government
- Proven experience with complex project and program management together with high IT proficiency
- Extensive leadership and staff management experience
- Qualifications in Psychology, Social Sciences or related field are essential
