Together we solve complicated problems by combining our experience in the market with our leading research and development capabilities.Our Avionics group currently has an opportunity for a Simulator Technician to join a close-knit Training and Simulation team, to deliver both simulation products and training services to Defence and Civil customers in Australia. Based at RAAF Townsville, 5th Aviation Regiment, the role of Simulator Technician will see you responsible for the operation and maintenance of the MRH90 Full Flight Mission Simulator.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Simulator Technician, you will be accountable for:Operating and maintaining the simulator as directed by the Senior Simulator Technicians or Maintenance Manager.Ensuring that the simulator is maintained in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines.Carrying out corrective maintenance and actions as required.Maintaining tools and test equipment, and ensuring equipment is in calibration.Maintaining records and documentation.Ensuring work is completed in accordance with relevant standards and processes.Acting and undertaking duties as a Self Certifying Maintainer (SCM) when authorised.Utilising spares and carrying out repairs to ensure that the simulator meets contracted availability requirements.Maintaining a sound working relationship with the customer and other relevant stakeholders.Proactively identifying issues and solutions, keeping the Maintenance Manager informed of progress.Effectively communicating with all levels of staff via staff meetings, written communications and one-on-one communication.Interacting and working with management/employees to promote teamwork.Assisting the Senior Simulator Technicians as required.Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSQualifications in Avionics, Electronics, Computer IT or similar fields.Minimum of 3 years experience as a Simulator Technician or related fields.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCEExperience in a technical workshop or maintenance environment.Customer relationships.Sound interpersonal skills good team player.Demonstrated self-starter.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCEExperience with simulation projects preferably in a Defence context.
