The Procurement Category Manger will be accountable for the creation and supervision of contracts throughout the entire contract life cycle within their assigned category. Youll have the chance to further develop your procurement career by becoming a member of the procurement team and have strategic ownership over your category. Your role will involve the entire procurement process.
This role requires an individual with the expertise to contribute to the development of strategic category plans, aiming to achieve robust commercial and cost-effective results while minimising potential business-related commercial risks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proven expertise in operating within procurement category management, category specialist, compliance, and quality settings.
- Oversee the entire contract life cycle, encompassing all tasks primarily associated with contracts.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies, overseeing contracts and important supplier partnerships, and achieving successful results.
- Effective negoation and cost saving skills.
- Maintaining a high standard of procurement and contracts management across a diverse capital projects.
- Providing a high level of stakeholder engagement with internal customers, and demonstrating superior relationship management and influencing skills with external parties.
Key requirements include:
- Tertiary Qualification or relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years proven experience as a category specialist and/or category management preferably in the mining industry.
- You will be an outcome focused strategic procurement professional, passionate about delivering excellence in procurement outcomes.
