A unique opportunity has become available to support the work of the ICC in the Information and Communications technology branch. As a senior member of this branch, you will support the enhancement of the quality of life for the Ipswich community and as a key leader, work constructively with ICT team members and more broadly across the ICC. As the Senior Systems Engineer, you will bring a strong combination of technical expertise, leadership combined with strong communication and engagement skills. Your role is primarily focussed on managing the comprehensive server, storage and enterprise infrastructure supporting services for the Councils Corporate Information System software applications and services as directed. You will be responsible for the delivery of services of a daily basis both technically and also providing timely, high-quality assistance to end users leveraging your cross-team collaboration skills.
Further, you will be required to provide subject matter expertise, trouble shooting, analysis of usage patterns, provide capacity planning solutions as well as lead and mentor junior staff. This will include elements of change management.
Does this sound like you? The ideal candidate will possess experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) and Public cloud offerings, have the ability to design, implement and maintain the ICCs corporate technology, environment, server and storage architecture and promote a culture of continuous performance.
