job detailsDo you have concreting experience with bridge structures? This is an opportunity to work on maintenance and construction projects for Brisbane City Council. You will be based out of a Brisbane City Council depot in Kangaroo Point.

Day shift rates: $43per hour + Super
Night shift rates: $65 - $87 per hour + Super
Day shift hours: 6am - 4pm
Night shift hours: 6pm - 4am
Initial 4 - 6 Month contract with potential for extenstion
About your new role
You will assist with the maintenance and building of bridges and associated structures around Brisbane. You will be someone who adheres to strict WHS practices. Some of your duties may include:
- Creating forms for bridges, foundations, beams and staircases.
- Building structures on site using wood or putting together metal frames.
- Building and erecting form work and form work shutters for pile cappings, abutments, headstocks, columns and slabs.
- Dismantling casts.
- Measuring, cutting and shaping wood or metal.
- Working closely with your team to pour concrete into moulds.
- Checking work for accuracy.
- Producing concrete blocks to meet project requirements and specifications.
- Power tools experience
- Jack hammering
What you will need to exceed
It is essential that you have the following:
- Drivers license
- Working at height ticket
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
- Form-work experience
- Concreting experience
- Dogman ticket (Highly Advantageous)
