Job Description
Strategic sourcing & Category Strategy Execution 50
- Drive a national strategic focus via creating, implementing, and monitoring category management plans for defined categories. Including but not limited to spend analysis, opportunity identification, global/national/local supply market analysis, alliances/panel/partnerships relationships and sourcing strategies
- Drive national strategic sourcing events with the key focus on optimizing cost, quality, delivery & technology standards to the business.
- Contribute to the development of strategic sourcing methodology & analysis tools
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the category to drive proactive management of risks and opportunities
- Provide leadership and innovation from a sourcing perspective towards environmental management and sustainability programs. Review supplier offerings for innovative products to reduce costs
- Execution of the short- and long-term strategic commodity plans as set by the Senior Procurement Manager
- Drive Risk Management Strategies across supplier base
Supplier Performance Management 20%
- With the clients, establish key performance indicators and a performance review program for engaged suppliers
- Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers to identify areas of improvement and to drive innovative solutions
- Continuously monitor and adjust the Grow/Fix/Exit strategies with the supply base led by suppliers' performance to KPI's
Client Engagement 15%
- Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships to facilitate the delivery of Category Strategy and objectives
- Work with internal culinary consultant, culinary teams and suppliers to rationalise product ranges and standardise specifications were appropriate
People Management & Leadership 10%
- Identify appropriate training needs to ensure continuous skill development
Heath, Safety and Security Management 5%
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Adhere to any policy, procedures and systems relating to health and safety
- Participating in safety meetings, inspections, and risks assessment
- Take reasonable care for own and others health and safety
- Inform the appropriate Manager of any health & safety problem or defect which may give rise to danger and reporting promptly any incident which may occur
The Successful Applicant
Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant completed or partial tertiary qualification Economics/Business/Commerce, CIPS, IFPSM or AAPCM qualification or equivalent is highly regarded

Experience
- 5 years+ procurement, strategic sourcing in a full end to end lifecycle management role.
- A proven record of delivering value and cost reductions through strategic sourcing and category management within any spend category
- Change management experience in a complex multi divisional and / or project-based organisation
- Prior experience in building strong business relationships and working collaboratively with a diverse set of stakeholders
- Procurement experience across multiple industries or businesses
- First class analytical and communication skills
