Join this passionate State Government Department and help to deliver a full range of internal and external strategic communication and stakeholder engagement services as their newest Senior Officer. Use your skills to provide specialist advice and services across community consultation, communications and engagement strategies, customer information and issues management.

What's involved?

- Develop, implement, and evaluate communication and stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
- Devise, coordinate, deliver and evaluate the effectiveness of events, workshops, and community consultation activities.
- Take a lead role working with team members to develop and maintain an integrated regional communications project milestones list/calendar while managing communications activities to time, cost, and budget.
- Contribute to the implementation of a program of building community awareness by facilitating meetings and forums and identifying ways to assist the community participate in infrastructure projects.
- Provide strategic advice and participate in, and on occasion lead, our clients communities of practice to improve and enhance the delivery of communication services to the community.
- Build and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What do we need from you?

- Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver and evaluate stakeholder engagement strategies, including experience in conducting public meetings and forums and using a wide range of engagement tools.
- Proven ability to proactively identify, manage and resolve conflict and issues on complex, high profile projects while working in a politically sensitive environment.
- Proven experience managing multiple external stakeholders combined with sound experience in managing project communications.
- Experience in developing communications plans involving community consultation and engagement.
- Demonstrated achievement in the development and implementation of innovative communications, issues management, information provision and stakeholder and community engagement strategies.
