Our furniture showrooms can be found in every major metropolitan city with 47 showrooms and more than 200 employees in Australia.Plush is growing, and we are looking for an ambitious Area Manager for WA and SA to drive further growth in our business. You can either be based in Adelaide or Perth for this position.
The Role
The role of the Area Manager is to maximize the profitability of their showrooms whilst building a sustainable business model by focusing on the divisional key result areas of People, Operations, Profit & Sales. This is a highly visible role in our business at leadership level, with a great opportunity to affect change and deliver exceptional results through strong management, demonstrated commercial acumen, and a passion for driving results in a customer-centric retail environment.
This Involves:Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & managing the performance of managers and team members to achieve sales targetsUsing initiative and commercial acumen to drive sales outcomes Leading and motivating showroom teams to achieve their sales targetsTraining and developing showroom teams to deliver exceptional serviceIdentify opportunities to drive customer traffic into showroomsMaintaining the highest standards of visual merchandisingAchieving operational budgets for the AreaSuccession planningWHS management
The Requirements:Previous experience in a Retail Area Manager role is essentialStrong management skills with proven commercial success Can demonstrate a proven track record in driving a sales team through training, coaching, and performance management utilising KPIsExceptional skills & experience in managing conflict & resolving complaintsAre highly organised and have excellent time management Can demonstrate high levels of attention to detail to ensure accuracy of established standards including; customer ordering, visual presentation standards, and individual team member performanceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSound decision-making capabilities backed by strong numerical and analytical abilityHighly developed influencing and relationship management skillsA drive for success and continuous improvement
