Job summary
Foralus Group is looking for a hands on Financial Accountant to play an integral part in laying strong financial accounting & reporting foundations to support the next phase of our growth.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDirectly report to Chief Financial OfficerAccounts to TB including BS Recs & variance analysisMonthly Financial Reporting for all company entitiesBAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax and other Statutory Obligations with external support where requiredDaily/Weekly Cash flow forecastCollaborate with venue operations teams & POS (Lightspeed/Kounta) partners to ensure accurate daily takings, Goods Receiving, Stock Take processes are documented and enhanced where required. Daily Bank Reconciliation & Sales RecognitionReview of Weekly Payroll and resolution of queries to Time & Attendance systemSupervise external bookkeepers to bring in-house all transactions and reconciliations etc. (Payables & Payroll)Accounts Payable & Payroll processing when requiredInitial project work to streamline and align all entities chart of accounts and ensure consistent categorisation and accounting treatment throughout
Qualifications and SkillsHospitality or Retail business exposure highly regarded Accounting for multiple entities and locations essentials2+ years in an Assistant Accountant or similar roleAdvanced Level Excel Essential3+ years hands on with XeroTAFE or University qualifications in Accounting or CPA equivalent (or studying towards)Some experience with using/interpreting an award (i.e. Hospo/Retial) will be highly regarded Highly organised and results driven
