Your new role

The EL1 Assistant Director will be required to action tasks including but not limited to

...

- Oversee the implementation of programs administered by the agency and report on program performance to ensure ongoing program effectiveness.

- Manage the implementation of operational, policy, procedural, and customer service initiatives as they relate to service delivery programs and related change initiatives.

- Provide Secretariat services to multiple senior Executive interdepartmental committees, including planning, scheduling, briefing pack preparation, coordination on action items, etc.

- Map business processes, engage stakeholders, workshop process outcomes, and coordinate stakeholder input, ensuring the roll out of protocols across the Division.

- Negotiate, engage, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver program services, build service delivery capability, and promote the agencys services.

- Provide oversight of risk management across the Division, engaging with Branch representatives as required, mapping risk management activity, scheduling milestones, and planning.

- Build relationships with key customer cohorts, local community groups, third-party organisations, and networks, identifying opportunities for partnerships.

- Provide high-level program advice, procedural guidance, and interpretation to staff, including strategic advice to the Executive where appropriate.

- Develop and implement work area plans to meet demands and respond to change, providing strategic directions for the work area and allocating resources.

- Collaborate and build strong relationships with the agencys program branches and key agencies at all tiers of government to support the efficient delivery of government services.

- Prepare a range of written materials, including business cases, reports, executive briefs, and corporate documentation.

What will you need to be successful in this role

- legislation, policies, procedures and information management requirements relevant to pensions
- people policies and procedures including leave and performance management guidelines

- Have a current or possess the ability to pass and attain a baseline security clearance if requested
