Job summary

The IRONMAN series of events is one of the largest individual participation sports platforms in the world. Our specialty within the Oceania region is high-profile mass participation triathlon, cycling & running events, including the iconic Noosa and Mooloolaba Triathlon Festivals.

We are looking for an experienced Event Operations Coordinator (Event Organiser) who will be an Event professional to join the IRONMAN Oceania team.

They will be responsible for leading/ overseeing delivery teams to ensure the effective and efficient planning and delivery of event operations specific to their events.

Key responsibilities:Event planning- manage planning and timelines; liaise with other departmentsDevelop documents for staff and stakeholders e.g. site plans, Traffic plans and Community Consultation plansAssist to manage stakeholder relationships and lodge event permitsScope and coordinate equipment plans; event vehicle plans; prepare Supplier agreementsScope and coordinate contractor requirementsLiaise with IRONMAN Volunteer Coordinator regarding Volunteer requirementsFinancial- negotiate costs and submit invoices for paymentAdministration- ensure all Health & Safety requirements are managed and adhered to.Post event- provide debrief reports.

The ideal candidate:You will have tertiary qualifications in event management or a related degree.You will have a proven track record in the events industry with a minimum of 3 years' events experience.Prior Event Operations experience preferred.Road event experience desirable.Experience in working within a set budget.Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure and within required deadlines.Excellent organisational skills, time management and attention to detail.High level of verbal and written communication skills.Professional, enthusiastic, personable and able to work well in a team.Prepared and willing to travel and work weekends for events.
