Senior Analyst - $130,000 + bonus + benefits

Superb opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join one of Australia's leading banking institutions to be part of their growing digital team. This team has shared accountability for the maintenance, quality and development of the Digital & Channel Foundation business that support data driven decision making and measurement for their digital business. The team are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to play a key role as they work with various business units and look to develop their data offering across insights and analytics within the digital space.

THE ROLEEnable stakeholders to identify what's important to business & providing consulting on how to build data around these featuresEnsuring we have the capability to ingest & model these data elements using a range of toolsVisualising outcomes based on the requirements & data to the relevant stakeholdersHelp business teams with the data & insights to drive a better customer experience across digital & other channelsStakeholder engagement to design information solutions with moderate data analysis to support solution designAdvanced data analysis, data modelling & data presentation in a Teradata and Hadoop environment with some requirement gathering & data consulting

THE PERSON

* Demonstrable experience in solid SQL programming within a large RDBMS (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres) including design, build, test and run activities

* Ability to elicit reporting & analytical information requirements and providing commercially oriented advice on how to capture and utilise information to improve business performance.

* Experience working with a range of stakeholders, while focussing on delivering favourable customer outcomes

* A strong work ethic and a desire to go the extra mile

* Ability to collaborate within and across teams to achieve necessary customer outcomes and across multiple projects

* Proven ability to acquire new technical skills through self-directed learning

* Support business users in interpreting data and using Tableau Desktop/Server for analysis

* Experience within Financial Services, Telco or large corporate environment is an advantage

* Experience working with R, Python, Tableau, Hadoop or UNIX scripting (or similar applications) is an advantage, but not essential
