About the role
This is a Full Time Permanent position based in Ann Street Brisbane. The overall purpose of the Senior Analyst within the Planning & Performance team is to understand and interpret financial results and performance trends on key business areas and projects.
This role will be interfacing with the Executive Leadership Team and will be exposed to a wide array of challenges, opportunities and business critical information. The role requires partnering with other Finance team members and leaders to deliver the consolidated annual budget report, quarterly forecast reports and monthly performance reports against those budgets and forecasts, along with any accompanying performance scorecards or dashboards.
The focus is on delivering timely and accurate Corporate Reporting and investment decision support to the Executive Leadership team members, Group Managers and their direct reports, to highlight performance improvement and insights against key performance indicators, as well as capital utilisation.
This role reports to our Manager, Planning and Performance who believes in collaboration, transparency, work life balance and accountability. You will join a supportive, skilled team.
About you
You will be an experienced financial analyst, ideally with a strong understanding or desire to work in community care or aged care. Most importantly you will bring excellent communication, presenting and interpersonal skills. You will be liaising with key internal managers in the business and as such you will be an adept communicator who can translate complex information into easy-to-understand terms for our stakeholders (who are largely from a healthcare background but also responsible for financial management and budgets). You will bring:
Confidence in working closely with the Senior Executives and being their trusted Finance Business Partner Finance / Accounting / Economics experience in a multi-program organisation with a large number of designated cost centres Understanding of how to develop, analyse, evaluate and report on financial and performance metrics, whilst working to strict deadlines and time constraints Developing budgets and forecasts within a multi-program organisation - preferably aged care, community services or non-profit High quality written communication skills including briefings notes, reports and presentations Relationship and rapport building, with the capacity to relate to a wide range of stakeholders Ability to identify potential improvements to processes and service standards Strong computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as other relevant contemporary applications (e.g. PowerBI) Advanced modelling skills desirable
