About the role
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly reputable company in an ongoing position. This role is a great base for anyone wanting to progress their career towards inspection/ QC roles. This role will have:
- Monday - Friday work for great work life balance
- A strong team and safety culture
- An opportunity to progress your career into Inspection/ QC role
Duties to include:
- Liaising between subcontractors and Thales during maintenance periods onboard patrol boats.
- Carrying out mandatory hold point inspections verifying tasks have been carried out IAW work instructions.
Skills and experience:
- Minimum qualification in Engineering Certificate and or Manufacturing
- Strong understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental Legislation
- Strong Computer skills across the Microsoft Suite
- Trade background ( or equivalent) in relevant field for example marine engineering, electrical or mechanical.
- You must have the ability to read drawings/plans
- You must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Keen eye for detail
- Experience on the Armidale class patrol boats will be highly regarded
- Current DCAC will be highly regarded
- Forklift & WAH will be highly regarded
