Job summary
SOUS CHEF-We are a family owned hospitality business with multiple locations across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland - Beerwah and Palmwoods Hotels and our newly purchased and renovated, Glasshouse Tavern. The three venues are within about 30km of one another. At each venue we pride ourselves in providing high quality, consistent, restaurant quality meals at pub prices, using fresh local produce from our local suppliers and in making things from scratch wherever possible (no packets!).
We are seeking a Sous Chef that has the passion, flair, skills and experience to support our Head Chefs.
This position is a permanent full time role. Initially you will start at our Beerwah Hotel, covering a long term absence of about 3 months through to September while our Sous Chef steps into the role of Acting Head Chef. Then you will move to our Palmwoods Hotel to cover the absence of our Sous Chef while she is on maternity leave. Then after her return in about February 2023 you will be allocated to a role as Sous Chef at anyone of our 3 venues to suit the needs of the business..
The successful applicant will have;Experience as a Sous Chef in a fast paced, busy, high volume Hotel/ Tavern environmentFlexibility to work within any of our kitchen teams Adaptability to be able to work in any kitchen environmentExperience as a team leader who leads by exampleHigh energy levels and the ability to handle the pressure of preparing a large number of high quality meals in a very short period of timeHigh motivation, with the desire for a long term career in a family owned businessFlexibility to work a 5 day roster including any day of the week, including breakfast/lunch/dinner shifts, split shifts, weekends, public holidays and school holidays to suit the needs of the businessQualifications as a chef along with Qld Food Handling and Food Safety Supervisors Certificates
