Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Financial Reports & Monthly Management Reports - month-end analysis & commentary on each shopping centre in the portfolio
- Income and Expenditure Forecasting - monthly forecast
- Budget and Business Plan preparation & presentations
- Budget model improvements
- Cash Flow management for both Centre and Marketing Funds
- Outgoings Recovery Income - maintaining & updating the Outgoings recovery models
- Balance Sheet reconciliation with Assistant Accountant support
- Percentage Rent calculation - validate amounts based on the audited sales figures
- Due Diligence analysis - assisting with establishment of newly acquired management projects and ad hoc project work
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting with the imminent introduction of the new accounting system
- Manage Property and Trust Account audits
- Owner's ad hoc requests
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate has excellent communication skills and can build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders. The candidate must be adaptable and have the following:
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance and CA/CPA Qualification
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar accounting role
- Property and Construction experience desired
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite. High level of excel skills (V-lookups, Pivot Table) are essential.
- High level of attention to detail
- Initiative and an inquisitive nature are a must
