Job Description
- Manage the planning, monitoring, control and delivery of the project.
- Plan, manage and review project scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communications, change management, risk and procurement/recruitment.
- Monitor and control project progress, including taking corrective action to ensure delivery of business outcomes and benefits within agreed scope, schedule, cost and quality.
- Develop, manage, maintain and control project reporting and documentation.
- Manage a range of senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan and manage transition to BAU activities.
- Ensure project delivery is compliant with organisation project and change management methodologies and governance frameworks.
- Support the achievement of project's strategic objectives.
- Undertake project team leadership aligned to the organisation values.
- Contribute to a high performing and engaged team.
- Manage project team members and report through to the Project Business Lead.
The Successful Applicant
Skills and Abilities Required
- At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in organisational design and operating model change projects.
- Demonstrated record of successfully planning, designing and managing new operating model and organisational design projects of high complexity, cost and/or value in a large sized government agency.
- Experience leading change that incorporates cultural, organisational structure, policy and process change. experience creating and maintaining accurate and detailed change management artefacts which are tailored to the organisation.
- High level of proficiency in applying recognised project management methods, tools and development methodologies, such as PRINCE2 project management method plus Waterfall and Agile delivery methods.
- Proven knowledge and understanding the function of governance structures in a government agency.
- Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to establish relationships, facilitate workshops, both face to face and online and undertake presentations.
- Experience working with all stakeholder levels and leveraging organisational mechanism to reach stakeholders.
- A self-starter, takes initiative, able to work autonomously, ability to manage their time lines and competing priorities.
- Proven ability to take a strategic view and align initiatives with that view.
- Proven ability to manage a team in an outcomes and values focused environment.
Highly Desirable Requirements
- Experience in managing organisational design and structural change projects
- Demonstrated experience in software packages such as; Visio, O365 products, and Sharepoint.
